Clowns Hobbies Lockdown update.
WOW. what a week it has been! We are SO grateful to our loyal customers for all the support we have received this last week. The orders are still streaming in and we are running our backsides off to re-stock and fulfill the orders. Good times!
With Alert Level 3 approaching next week, we have a few reminders:
- We have seen and heard a number of people saying that we are closing. CLOWNS HOBBIES IS NOT CLOSING DOWN. Your favourite hobby store is merely going on-line.
We currently have a few potential buyers for the business, and the situation may change if/when a deal is made. Even if we DONT sell, we plan to not only keep trading on-line, but to grow our product lines with some really exciting new lines never seen before in SA.
-The Covid Crisis is NOT over. Customers are reminded to wear a face mask when collecting orders. For now, No Mask, No Entry. A quick look at the graphs on www.worldometer.com and www.91-divoc.com should convince you that this is by no means over , either regionally or globally. Please be safe!
-Re-stocking is becoming difficult. It is great that we are able to re-stock where possible, and we are allready receiving daily shipments from our suppliers. Due to the cessation of imports, many of our suppliers are running short of certain items and have sold out on some lines already. Our suggestion is to get it while you can, it may be September- October before new stocks will be available.
-We are here for you! If you need to chat about a product, order, or tech issue, feel free to contact us.

We know you are all very eager to get your Hobby Fix, we are just as eager to resume business, but after a review of the latest Level 4 regulations, we are still unable to trade as of Tomorrow, 1 May.
We have decided that, despite the severe financial implications, we value our and YOUR health more, and will therefore abide by the regulations until we get a clear directive from Government.
There is hope, however.
We have made application under Part E. 20 of the regulation, and await the response.
For us to resume E-trade, the following will need to in place :
- Clearance in regard to Part E.20
-Our SUPPLIERS to be cleared too
-The Courier services will need to be permitted under Part J.1 to transport our goods
Rules are set out in the pictures below.
We will post procedures and the way forward in due course.
Thank you for all the messages of encouragement and your continued and valued support.
Until then, stay safe! ... See MoreSee Less
